Role: Finance Technical Business Analyst (with SAP FS-CD and SAP FI skillset) Location: Sydney, Australia Short Description: In this role as a Finance Technical Business Analyst, you will be a key contributor to the Finance Team, assigned to a project with responsibilities for technical analysis activities. You will work with business stakeholders to scope, define and deliver accurate and clear requirements, option analysis and plans to support delivery of project objectives. Role & responsibilities: - Detailed business analysis, outlining problems, opportunities & solutions for the finance business - Defining business/reporting requirements and confirming them back to stakeholders - Financial data pattern mapping and data flow mapping - System data tracing, integration and triage - Data flow scheduling - Policy lifecycle test scenario creation, System/integration testing and defect triage Success criteria: To be successful, you will need to:- Facilitate workshops to elicit business needs and work with Technical Lead and Functional Consultant to plan for delivery of ‘fit for purpose’ Technical BA activities and artefacts. - Collaborate with key stakeholders to review, capture, and validate ‘as is’ and ‘to be’ operations in support of delivery of business and technology solutions and change. - Elicit, analyse, and specify business, functional, and non-functional requirements for the delivery of Finance requirements working horizontally with other teams for data through to SAP FS-CD and SAP FI. - Translate requirements into Epics and User Stories (as required), ensuring they are clear and concise, continually refined with appropriate acceptance criteria and are well understood by the business and project teams. - Collaboration across business, technology teams and operational support functions to understand the desired Customer and User experience to support the design and implementation of changes to work practices, processes, and systems. - Participate or drive deliverables for Business transitioning post go-live of Finance application/technical delivery. - Participate in relevant testing needs, defect triage and analysis. - Participate and facilitate (where needed) cadence-based planning and delivery events. - The role should also call for a strong understanding of insurance, finance control, regulatory and reporting requirements as well as plenty of experience in financial analysis. Core Skills and Experience: The ideal candidate will have:- Experience in working with General Insurance industry products and Finance operations. - Strong technology, analytical and communication skills. - SAP Finance experience. - 5+ years’ experience in large scale system implementation initiative, i.e. Demonstrated Business Analyst experience including some business process testing experience. - Degree in accounting or technology related subject. - Guidewire and SAP implementation experience. - High-quality documentation and process analysis skills and experience. Nice-to-have experience:- Application experience: Guidewire, Greenplum, SAP FS-CD - Experience with Agile and Lean Waterfall delivery of technology solutions. - 8+ years business analyst experience. - Proficient in MS Office packages. - Experience using software applications like Jira and Confluence. - Strong personal leadership with great communication and collaboration skills. - Self-organised with a strong attention to detail. - Experience in matrix management organisations. Personal attributes:- Good proficiency with verbal, written presentation and communication skills in English - Have affinity for simple solutions and simplifying processes - Be proactive and results driven - Work collaboratively and contribute to innovation - Be willing to learn to develop and expand your own capabilities & skills Educational Qualification Bachelor’s degree in any educational Background.
