The Senior Manager II, Digital Marketing Analytics will lead digital marketing analysis for all our online and as well as its influence on brick and mortar stores. The Marketing Analytics team helps drive business strategy by synthesizing data and performance metrics into actionable insights across customer segments, marketing channels and product categories. The team sits within Customer Insights & Analytics team in the CMO’s organization, a customer-focused, action-biased, data-driven team chartered with driving business by understanding customer behavior using advanced analytics. Marketing Analytics is a high-performance team that is scaling up to help accelerate Walmart’s aggressive growth both for online eCommerce and offline brick & mortar Stores. This is a high-impact and high-visibility role within the organization with expectations to deliver immediate results. The complexity of this role requires one to develop actionable insights from copious amounts of competitive, conversion, and behavioral data from proprietary and third-party data. The Senior Manager II, Digital Marketing Analytics is responsible for leading development of our best-in-class Digital Marketing Analytics platform. The ideal candidate has a demonstrated passion for working with data to solve complex problems creatively and tenaciously, project management and effective communication. Your goal is use data to drive the right business outcomes and build strong, data backed strategies for new products and site strategies. What you’ll be working on (Job Duties) - Lead analysis and reporting on Marketing channel performance, in collaboration with the Marketing Data Science team. Scope mainly includes Search but also spans Display, Paid Social, Affiliates, CRM, and other new and emerging channels. - Integrate disparate data sources and leverage state-of-the-art analytics best practices to deliver integrated actionable insights to partners and senior leadership. - Provide trended analysis and performance evaluation for specific campaigns to broader marketing leadership - Partner with the Data Engineering team to define data architecture and in-house tool requirements - Develop tools and lead training that enable Marketers partners to adopt an analytical mindset for their daily business decisions - Consults with senior leadership/ business partners to understand overall goals/functional objectives, decipher key business challenges, identify tactics to anticipate and mitigate business challenges/issues and develop potential success criteria. - Focuses efforts on items that have maximum impact to the business. - Creating data visualizations that tell clear, usable stories about what new insights and how that information can be applied Required Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics of related filed and 5 years’ experience in data analytics or related field - Expert at SQL and Excel - ability to manipulate large quantities of data to drive business decisions is a must - Strong business acumen and scrappiness - you approach problems in a scientific manner but can also execute pragmatically - Excellent analytical, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills - Hands-on experience with Python, Google Big Query, Looker, Tableau or other data analysis/visualization tools - Structured and organized thinker who can drive analytical projects to completion with minimal direction; intense analytical ability, attention to detail and ability to deep-dive when necessary Preferred Qualifications: - Minimum of 5 years of Digital Marketing/Site analytics experience - Have experience programming in R or Python - Have experience working with large datasets, finding insights, and telling stories using data - Can effectively communicate through data using clear and concise summary - Is a self-starter who can work with minimum supervision - Have experience mentoring and guidance junior analysts with/out formal reporting structure - Experience analyzing how search demand for company’s products and brand is varying over time in absolute and relative terms (i.e., vs competitor terms) to guide impact of SEO efforts; measure success in capturing and monetizing that demand, again in absolute and relative terms - Experience understanding details around company’s presence on search results (for both paid and organic) as experienced by customers, and how that is varying over time in absolute and relative terms; analyze through scientific advanced analysis the success rate in retaining those customers in future transactions so as to influence returning customers traffic from paid media to organic - Leading all SEO analytics. Develop baseline and advanced reporting for standard site conversion metrics using common analytics platforms, including forecast and opportunity analysis - Provide insights into more macro unknowns about search demand and our performance in capturing, monetizing and retaining that demand and those customers - Develop deep, trended, and automated analysis of core site performance metrics using dynamic inputs from across the organization - Collaborate with Data Science and marketing experimentation teams to test/measure incremental impact on business of SEO products - Manage integrations of third party API’s. Ingest, map and create informative relationships across external and internal datasets - Identify SEO opportunities throughout the site through deep analytics (performance, crawl, indexation, site taxonomy & prioritization) to optimize SEO products Benefits & Perks: Beyond competitive pay, you can receive incentive awards for your performance. The annual salary range for this position is $144,000.00-$216,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.
