What you'll do... Position: Staff Data Scientist Job Location: 850 Cherry Avenue, San Bruno, CA 94066 Duties: Extract and synthesize various types of data across multiple platforms for analytics and business intelligence output. Develop insightful business intelligence dashboards and tools in order to improve decision making, products, and services. Apply knowledge of database and SQL programming to build numerous tables and databases, perform data validations, and perform various data transformations using current database technologies in data warehouses and databases. Deliver relevant, timely, and insightful decision support in the form of ad-hoc analysis and fulfill data requests with recommendations. Drive cross-functional analytics projects with multiple stakeholder groups. Deploy advanced analytics solutions and data science applications to improve supply chain metrics and overall customer experience. Study complex business processes in logistics and supply chains using Mathematical Models and develop ideas to optimize and improve the quality of decisions. Conduct advanced statistical analysis to determine trends and significant data relationships. Apply Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, and Machine Learning methodologies to understand cost vs. service tradeoffs and solve transportation, forecasting, cost minimization, and efficiency maximization problems. Leverage Linear Programming, Mixed Integer Programming, Simulation, Forecasting Models, and Predictive Analytics for large data sets to develop custom business solutions. Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or equivalent in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (any), or related field and 2 years of experience in an analytics related field; OR Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (any), or related field and 4 years of experience in an analytics related field. Skills required: Experience using SQL and Alteryx to conduct data analysis and derive insights that drive strategic decisions. Experience utilizing Tableau to build data pipelines, create custom dashboards, and automate reporting dashboards. Experience coding with Python. Experience using at least one of the following optimization solvers/modeling frameworks: GurobiPy, DoCPLEX, or PuLP. Experience with supply chain design including network optimization and inventory optimization models. Experience with Operations Research/Optimization models including Linear Programming and Mixed Integer Programming and simulation modeling. Experience building scalable solutions for data science products. Experience performing peak capacity analysis and forecasting and delivering supply chain strategy recommendations. Experience with Microsoft office tools including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills. Salary Range: The annual salary range for this full-time position is $160,000/year to $230,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
