Your role As a Senior Consultant, you are an expert at contributing to different phases of the consulting lifecycle. You will provide: - E2E L2 support in the Entertainment domain/Video Operations. Looking for experienced re-sources who have an Operations background and mindset. - Scope mainly includes L2 Support which includes Pro-active Incident prevention, Incident Management, Triage, Managing the application support, Escalating to Vendors where required as part of Incident process, Reporting Incident progress, closure etc. - Provide Operation/Maintenance support on the Video STB and OTT platforms. - Work on improving monitoring solution and implement automation and define Operational requirements for monitoring and onboarding. - Work closely with the Level 1/Level 3 team on incidents in the affiliate and provide direct follow-up to vendor if required. - Work closely with the network operations centre to set the requirements for alarm management. Service Monitoring:- When not active on incident support, help to materially improve the service assurance by initiating and managing projects. - Develop custom scripts for the automation of certain operational tasks and service monitoring of the Interactive Video solutions. - Support the business in implementation and validation of changes to the Video/OTT ecosystems through the change management process. - Support the onboarding of new platforms and services. Context/Environment: Position has strong international focus with a significant customer base at every European country. Video Platforms managed are STB and OTT with several components in the AWS cloud. Required- Hands-on experience with video systems streaming components (Encoders, Transcoders, Packagers, Media Delivery etc.) - Understanding of OTT Delivery protocols (HLS, Dash, HSS etc.) - Experience with Conditional access systems/DRM systems (PlayReady, FairPlay, Widevine) - Hands-on with Linux and Networking protocols like DNS, HTTP, TCP/IP etc. - Understanding of DVB standards and broadcasting principles. Preferred- Hands-on with monitoring tools like Grafana, Kibana, Nagios and Conviva. - Hands-on with administering databases, Python application scripts and storage systems - Experience with a variety of back-end persistence, queuing and networking technologies Personal Besides the professional qualifications of the candidates, we place great importance in addition to various forms personality profile. These include:- High analytical skills - A high degree of initiative and flexibility - High customer orientation - High quality awareness - Should be flexible enough to work in shifts and extended hours support during Critical P1/P2 Incidents. - Strong communication skill to co-ordinate with multiple vendors across the Geographic locations for resolution of Critical incidents. - Strong analytical and Debugging knowledge on the production incidents from Dashboards/ Limited Logs - Ability to lead investigations and involve necessary internal and external stakeholders to bring the investigations to closure.
