We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Lead Consultant Specialist   In this role, you will: - Influence teams of Engineers, Technical Product Managers and Architects to drive the DevOps mind-set, towards the vision - Gather and analyze metrics from operating systems as well as applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding - Manage and coordinate the resolution of production incidents along with mandatory post-mortem/RCA - Be a problem solver, able to be dropped into a situation specifically to assess reliability, proposing tactical and strategic remediation items regardless of technology, tooling or programming language. - Ensure appropriate CI/CD pipelines are built and executed with automation and utilization of appropriate tools for both cloud and on-premises solutions - Identify risks and issues with third party solutions, existing internal systems and designs and develop risk mitigation and transition strategies - Contribute to technical documentation for the platform architecture, services and operating principles - Ensure that instrumentation for both internal and third party solutions are in place to provide appropriate measures for the products and service such as: SLAs, Lead Time, Deployment Frequency and Mean time to Recovery (MTTR) - Design, enable, and deliver scalable and automated strategy - Infrastructure as Code - Work within the bank’s operational procedures to ensure that system records are kept up to date To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements: - 12+ years of experience working through the definition, design, release and run cycle of software products to markets - using Agile/Scrum methodologies - Experience with DevOps, ITIL, Cloud Services, IT Infrastructure and Operations, including environment standup, server builds, firewalls, security and regulatory compliance - Experience of any object-oriented language preferably Java,Spring boot ,GCP, Kubernetes, Kong, Mongodb, Oracle - Proficiency working in Unix/Linux environments. Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, Maven, Nexus, ElasticSearch, Google Cloud Platform, Kafka - Managing production public-facing backend services with internal application users and external customers - Experience implementing and managing Logging, Monitoring and Alerting framework for hybrid cloud or third party services using AppDynamics, Splunk, Data Dog - Experience with agile development (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) and within an agile project team (agile in ability to perform cross-functional tasks quickly) – balance multiple projects and collaborating closely with other development teams - Understands the importance of a good team dynamic, is a team-player. a very capable communicator and comfortable receiving feedback   You’ll achieve more when you join HSBC. www.hsbc.com/careers  HSBC is committed to building a culture where all employees are valued, respected and opinions count.
