We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of a Consultant Specialist. In this role, you will: - Lead and drive deliverables end to end - Mentoring team members to deliver with new ways of working. - Develops software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users and various teams, studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; and following the software development lifecycle - Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code. - Prepares and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming - Should be able to handle individual task with minimum supervision. To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements: Must Have skills:  - Capable of working on all areas of the application stack but having a preference and  most of the experience in databases (Oracle, PL/SQL). Experience required around 10 years. - Full stack engineer with ability to re-engineer current platform to Micro-services laden architecture and define new re-usable micro components using latest database technologies and Java. Good hands-on preferably on creating- design and development of database applications, web-based applications, APIs. Good understanding of DevOps and CICD - Good knowledge of latest versions of Java, IaC, RHEL, Oracle, PL/SQL, Job Scheduling Tools, Toad, WinSCP and Report generation The successful candidate will also meet the following requirements: Good to have: - Individual who has ability to implement the next generation of Global Disbursements TDS architecture that will leverage microservices and cloud technologies to enable efficient access to highly optimised databases. - Good knowledge of Payments and Banking domain.Strong knowledge and experience in Agile discipline and the ability put the discipline into practice. - Ability to optimise database performance, Good analytical and problem analysis skills. Experience with cloud technologies a plus - Should be able to troubleshoot any infrastructure related issues independently. - Experience of planning and prioritizing their own time effectively, aware of their responsibilities and committed to delivering these efficiently - Should be excellent team member and work as a cross-functional team member and liaise with other Specialists. Should take care of Team leading and team building activities You’ll achieve more when you join HSBC. www.hsbc.com/careers HSBC is committed to building a culture where all employees are valued, respected and opinions count.
