WMC MARKETING OPERATIONS Marketing Operations within the WMC Marketing team is a small and mighty team that is growing rapidly in 2023. We are the owners of Marketing Ways of Working, Process Mapping, Tools, Budget & Headcount and Creative Operations. Our scope spans all cross functional teams within marketing, Walmart Connect, and Walmart teams. If there is a process that needs to be figured out, we are typically the first team asked to help drive clarity and map out roles and responsibilities and a clear way of working. It’s our job in marketing operations to ensure the processes across the Walmart Connect Marketing organization are consistent and streamlined. JOB OVERVIEW As the Marketing Operations Manager for Brand Strategy & Marketing Activation, you will be critical to developing and mapping out ways of working and streamlining operations within the Brand Marketing organization consisting of Brand Strategy, Events, Marketing Activation and Partner Marketing teams. Each specializing in different disciplines within the ad sales marketing ecosystem all doing their part to drive revenue growth for Walmart Connect. This is not a project management role as you will not be managing any “projects” or campaigns, but a role focused on operations and way of working in the Brand Strategy & Marketing Activation team. The types of Ways of Working this person will be focused on is mapping out and documenting process within the Brand Strategy teams and cross functional teams such as Product Marketing, Corporate Communications, Legal, and Data Governance. Additionally, this person will be responsible for creating and maintaining a central process repository and create onboarding training on Ways of Working within the Brand Strategy team. This role will report to the Senior Manager, Marketing Operations and will work closely to map and iterate on these processes. IDEAL CANDIDATE - Loves process and thinking through ways of working in an agile model - Has experience with complex timelines with multiple stakeholders - High EQ-read the room/zoom - You have project managed campaigns before, so you understand the milestones, but can see bigger picture here to see how timelines and processes intersect Ideally this candidate comes from Advertising Agencies working on complex marketing campaigns. Also could come from an E-Commerce company or big Brand/Marketing organization in a company where complex marketing process had to be mapped out. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES - Driving collaboration and efficient ways of working on key workstreams within Brand Strategy and Marketing Activation teams. - Establish roles and responsibilities between the Brand Strategy and Marketing Activation teams. Advocate and train teams on those clear roles and responsibilities early and often. - Ensure process maps back to a holistic process and way of working. - Gather learnings from pilots and iterate on process. Work in an agile model. Create a clear DACIN model for teams to drive clarity on roles and responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field and 1 years’ experience in marketing operations, business management, or a related field OR 3 years' experience in marketing operations, business management, or a related field. - 2 years' experience using Microsoft Office tools (for example, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). - Extremely detail oriented and organized in thought and execution - Ability to set and communicate clear expectations - Ability to understand and thrive in a fast-paced environment - Ability to work effectively and achieve results in ambiguous situations PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of experience in project management, operations and process mapping within a marketing organization - Has experience in change management - Knowledge of creative marketing campaign process and has worked with creative teams or agencies in the past At Walmart, we offer competitive pay as well as performance-based incentive awards and other great benefits for a happier mind, body, and wallet. The annual salary range for this position is $97,500.00-$162,500.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.
