Position Summary... What you'll do... Associate Director, E-commerce Category Marketing - SEO Walmart.com is the public face of Walmart, where individuals, communities, and businesses can directly experience all that we offer. They are critical entry points for people to discover what they can create with our products. The Marketing Technology team in the Performance Marketing team is looking for a smart, self-motivated, data-driven Associate Director of SEO to manage organic search for Walmart’s main site. The Associate Director of SEO will lead a team of SEO Managers and Content Strategists to develop and execute strategies to drive traffic and revenue to our site. The Associate Director is responsible for deploying the SEO strategy of Walmart. com in the US, orchestrating the organic growth of natural search, while cohesively optimizing SEO across all departments. The Associate Director will serve as the point-person for SEO-related initiatives including SEO strategy, managing partnerships with key Search Partners (SEO Support agencies, Site Merchandising, Site Operations, etc.), being a Subject Matter Expert for SEO execution, ensuring consistent company-wide SEO best practices, and overseeing SEO analytics & reporting. Provide Top-level SEO Analytics & business reporting, including site-wide analytics & reporting, Business unit reporting, and Whole-business SEO strategy. As an SEO leader, you will be accountable for deeply understanding business priorities and setting SEO strategies across a complex portfolio, executing those strategies with demonstrated business impact, and educating stakeholders about SEO. You have hands-on SEO experience (technical and content), including solving enterprise-level SEO problems, developing sound strategies to support traffic from the top to the bottom of the funnel in a commerce ecosystem, and educating and influencing a broad set of stakeholders in an enterprise environment. In this position, you’ll work closely with engineering and marketing web teams, product marketing, engineering, paid/SEM teams, and agency partners to evolve and sustain a holistic, scalable, impactful SEO program. Support total customer journey within each business unit including decision-point advising, granular category support, persona-centric keyword mapping, Category keyword mapping, campaign keyword mapping, competitive metrics & strategy, and granular owned & Marketplace item SEO Support whole-site by page-type, optimize at Scale (process-driven), page type product improvements (with Labs), assortment page-type SEO, and owned item & Marketplace page-type SEO Identify best practices for maximizing search success and mitigating risk Evaluate search demand to identify growth opportunities for our content and product  Minimum Qualifications: - +6 years directly related experience in SEO Optimization (enterprise retail experience strongly preferred) - +2 years of eCommerce experience  - +2 years of management experience - Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to evangelize and educate the various facets that are SEO. - High-level proficiency in SEO Analysis (Adobe Analytics) - Proficiency with a variety SEO tools (Google Search Console, SEMRush, BrightEdge, Screaming Frog, etc.) - Strong Business Acumen - Good communication (written and verbal) skills at the executive level - Ability to work inter-departmentally with marketing, PR, design, product, and engineering. ​ Responsibilities: - Conduct cohesive analysis to predict topics relevant to our demographics. - Liaise with US & global business partners on SEO-related initiatives - Maintain a high level of new & existing product understanding to ensure search success - Constitute the point-person for technical SEO queries from the team. - Monitor keyword ranking performance - Identify, analyze, and capitalize upon incremental traffic opportunities - Provide actionable recommendations for site structure, creative design, keyword and link development strategies, and content optimization. - Vendor management, including POs, invoicing and budget - Coach and develop a data-driven, results-oriented, innovative, and best-in-class SEO team. - Help others learn and grow. You recognize that SEO can be a “black box” to others, and you understand how to distill down key SEO concepts easily for others to understand. - Evolve an SEO program into an SEO Center of Excellence that maximizes traffic and revenue opportunities across Walmart.com - Stay current on the SEO and search landscape, emerging trends and tools to automate processes or deliver more sophisticated analysis. - Analyze complex data sets to identify opportunities on Walmart.com, forecast results, and implement strategies in a cross-functional team, as well as prepare and present executive-ready reports with insights about SEO performance. - Collaborate with business groups to solve technical problems, provide optimization recommendations, and forecast impact to initiate traffic across our web properties. ​ Benefits & Perks: Beyond competitive pay, you can receive incentive awards for your performance.
