We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Software Engineer. In this role, you will: - You will work within MI Platform Team as a platform admin/Engineer. - Work closely with Product Owner to plan and deliver book of work. - Support existing application and design/build new enhancements. - You will be part of an agile team, take on complex problems and design and code. - You are expected to participate in the technical innovation within your product area. - Support ‘issue resolution’ and improve processing performance - You are not only expected to deliver your area but contribute to the overall product space. - Make decisions within a project, guide and coach team on technical expertise and known practices and precedents To be successful in this role, meet all or some of following requirements - Primary Skills & Criteria [Mandatory] : Minimum IT Work Experience: 5 years. Domain knowledge of Financial Accounting and reporting. Exposure to tools like Jira, Confluence, GitHub, Jenkins, Ansible, etc - Exposure to DevOps and Agile tools & Exposure to development, production support and evergreening processes, Knowledge of CICD (Continuous Integration Continuous Deployment) - Exposure to Linux Shell Scripting, Strong Linux & windows administration experience within a complex multi-tier enterprise infrastructure environment (OAT ,NAS, NetBackup and Puppet). - Good to Have Skills :Experience on F5 and Network load-balancer / failover technologies & Exposure to MI Platforms and systems [e.g. TM1, ] - Non-Technical Requirements : Candidate should be able to lead and track technical tasks, production issues independently and present status to management. Strong verbal and written communication skills - Flexibility – Project demands lot of flexibility for production support and weekend activities. - Accountability – You will be accountable to ensure smooth production process. - Prior Experience in Production Support is a must i.e. Incident Management, Change Request, etc You’ll achieve more when you join HSBC. www.hsbc.com/careers HSBC is committed to building a culture where all employees are valued, respected and opinions count.
