We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of a Consultant Specialist In this role, you will: - Work as a Java Developer to provide application solutions to the business, from front to back - Analyze business needs and recommend viable IT solutions to meet these requirements - Design, develop and implement IT solutions to meet business needs, according to established standards and best practices - Migrate in-house developed and potential future micro-services on GCP - Conduct and support testing to ensure the quality of all deliverables - Produce documentation on system solutions to ensure their maintainability and smooth implementation across local and regional sites Work with business analysts and project managers to deliver projects, participate potentially from requirements gathering through production rollout and support - Ensure implementation of activities on time, within estimated budget and to appropriate quality standard - Ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external regulatory requirements, including the management of operational risk and adherence to the Group's standards of ethical behavior - Production Support To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements: Must Have - A university graduate with degree in computer science, information technology or a related discipline - A minimum of 5 years of IT experience in business system development environment, preferably working on large, complex global projects for investment banking business. Solid experience on automated testing, DevOps tools and CI/CD pipeline setup like- Maven, Jenkins, Ansible / Rundeck - In-depth knowledge and experience in Agile project development and management framework - Hands on application design / development experience in Java, Spring boot, GCP, Relational Data bases like MS-SQL, Oracle, PostGr - Experience with collaboration tools like – Jira, GitHub, Confluence - Proactive, possess an outgoing personality, self-motivated and be able to work independently and under pressure - Sound communication and presentation skills with good command of written and spoken English. Strong analytical, design and problem solving skills Good to have - Exposure to Investment Banking, Prime Brokerage, Borrow and Lending workflows - Experience in development and support of banking application You’ll achieve more when you join HSBC. www.hsbc.com/careers HSBC is committed to building a culture where all employees are valued, respected and opinions count.
