DESCRIPTION We are looking for a Fleet Manager in the AU Last Mile Global Fleet and Products Team. This is a great opportunity to play a key role in the rapidly growing Amazon Logistics organization. The Last Mile initiative is a highly visible program (internally and with our customers) and plays a vital role in enabling the success of our service providers. In this role you will lead the relationship, roadmap, and negotiations with fleet partnerships in AU. You will set the strategy to improve the suppliers’ performance. You will guide the team to define requirements, identify and develop solutions leveraging both internal and external capabilities. With external solutions, you will develop the negotiating strategy for the products or services, and the successful implementation and launch of the solutions. You will lead a new Fleet program and supervise the operational execution. To be successful you must be able to dig into seemingly complex business problems, challenge the status quo as needed, by bringing both innate curiosity, a natural inclination to invent and simplify, and a data-driven ability to influence other leaders. Key job responsibilities · Start with the customer: understand not just internal teams’ needs. · Build a new Fleet model, influence decision makers, get consensus from Directors and VPs . Responsible for all aspects of the Fleet business, partnership development, and supervise execution performance of our rental partners through supplier development · Define AU-wide sourcing and service strategies · Lead negotiations of contracts, including costs and terms of supply, service, and quality · Develop the roadmap and prioritize products, services and projects, including geo-expansion · Assess and mitigate supply and market ecosystem risk to business; ability to run different supply scenarios; monitor market available capacity · Develop key metrics, reports and data analytics to enable continued growth critical to supply chain infrastructure, drive cost reductions and to identify areas of improvement for the operational performance and support from our suppliers. · Set up scalable and reliable ways to measure success and mechanisms to detect issues before they become risks. · Collaborate across the various organizations (Fleet Planning, Operations, Product Management, etc.) to ensure business objectives are met. · Proactively engage with all areas of the organization to identify inter-dependencies, mutually beneficial goals, and influencing leadership BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - 5+ years of program or project management experience - Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements - Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - 2+ years of driving process improvements experience - Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field Acknowledgement of country: In the spirit of reconciliation Amazon acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community.
