This position is part of Cognizant’s Digital Business practice which supports our clients with Java based application development. We are currently looking for an experienced Java Dev Engineer who is passionate about coding and IT Security. You will help our client to provide a continuously secure and customer friendly banking environment to millions of customers. Responsibilities:  First and foremost, you need to be a strong coder and you need to have an interest in IT security. You have to be a true team player. You speak up, are transparent and not shy to stand up for your own opinions. You love to talk about Java and coach your peers on architecture and best practices.  You have an instinctive need to share knowledge and continuously improve yourself and the team. Your daily work will consist of: - Coding - Refinement of requirements, scrum ceremonies - Code reviewing - Automated testing - Building and deploying - Monitoring and dealing with incidents Your team: In this position you will be working with our client’s development team. This is a high performing team which consists of developers, ops engineers, customer journey experts and a product owner. As a team you are end-to-end responsible for the customer journey you are working on. You own the stack and the journey. As a developer within the team you have freedom to grow, improve and to your own technological choices. As a Cognizant employee, you will also be part of our Cognizant team in the Netherlands.
