Senior IT Business Analyst Business Overview NextEra Energy is a leading clean energy company headquartered in Juno Beach, Florida. Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) program is building an integrated suite of cloud-based infrastructure, applications, and analytics tools that will create, connect, and integrate data from multiple sources and across different domains to enable data-driven decision-making for better business outcomes. Job Overview Senior IT Business Analyst gathers business requirements for EDP engagement requests and translates them into work intake process. This role serves as an expert consultant to the project teams to explain capabilities and evaluate the fit for EDP. Senior IT Business Analyst will have excellent communication skills, analytical and problem-solving skills, and understand customer perspective of the engagement. The role will also have technical components, with requirements to build and deploy some reports and dashboards leveraging corporate tools. Job Duties & Responsibilities - Collects and documents business requirements for EDP engagements from requestors and organizes them on Kanban board - Contribute to the development of standardized entry criteria and create process documentation; evaluates engagements based on these criteria - Write well-developed epics and user stories for EDP engagements - Will be involved in product backlog refinement, look ahead, QA testing, and product demos - Provides regular feedback to the EDP Team about new insights and lessons learned from team experiences and requests reviews - Keeps informed and educated about industry trends concerning data and data platforms - Performs other job-related duties as assigned Highly Desired Qualifications- Experience in IT requirement gathering for data-centric product development - Experience with agile tools such as Jira and Confluence - Experience with agile methodologies including Scrum and/or Kanban - Experience with software development processes and procedures - Experience working with developers - Basic competence in writing moderately complex SQL statements (T-SQL, PL-SQL, etc) - Ability to query and gather test data and update test results - Highly proactive Required Qualifications- Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience - Experience: 3+ years EOE disability/veteran
