Location : Melbourne (preferred) or Sydney Short Description: In the role of Azure DevOps, you will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design. You will play an important role in creating the high-level design artifacts. You will also deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty. Objectives of this role: - Building and implementing new development tools and infrastructure - Understanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying them to developers - Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes - Testing and examining code written by others and analysing results - Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats - Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and fixes - Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended - Planning projects and being involved in project management decisions Responsibilities:- Deploy applications, updates and fixes, and provide Level 2 technical support - Build tools to reduce occurrence of errors and improve customer experience - Develop software to integrate with internal back-end systems - Perform root cause analysis of production errors and resolve technical issues - Develop scripts to automate visualisation - Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance Skills /Competencies:- At least 6 to 7 years' experience as a DevOps Engineer. - Experience as a DevOps engineer or in a similar software engineering role - Proficiency with Gitlab and Gitlab CI - Good knowledge of Ruby or Python - Strong knowledge in Docker & Container Development - Experience in Kubernetes and related container management frameworks - Knowledge with Container based deployment tools like ArgoCD - Good knowledge in Cloud concepts, specifically GCP - AWS cloud knowledge will be beneficial but not mandatory - Working knowledge of databases and SQL - Problem-solving attitude - Collaborative team spirit Preferred skills and qualifications:- Bachelor of science degree (or equivalent) in computer science, engineering, or relevant field - Experience in developing/engineering applications for a large company Infosys is an equal opportunity employer and positively encourages applications from suitably qualified and eligible candidates regardless of gender or other attribute covered by equal opportunity legislation.
