Job Description Role – Lead Consultant Technology – VMware Architect Location – Amsterdam, Netherlands Infosys is seeking VMware Architect for Private cloud Implementations with exposure to VMware stack. This role requires close partnership and collaboration with other Data Engineers and Subject Matter Experts. Essential Job Duties Lead Consultant having experience with data centre migration and Private cloud Implementations. He needs to maintain best practices and collaborates with the architecture and application teams to set the technical vision and target architecture Required Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education. - At least 15+ years of Information Technology experience with at least 8 years of experience in IT solution design and 8 years of experience in managing Data Center transformation and infrastructure projects. - Excellent Knowledge of Private cloud environments - Design the Cloud solutions using vRealize Automation (vRA) 7.x and vRealize Orchestration (vRO) 7.x - Performed Administration of vRealize Automation (vRA) 7.x and vRealize Orchestration (vRO) 7.x - Built code packages in vRealize Code Stream (vRCS) and deployed them from dev to test to prod - Worked with product vendor on support issues and installing patch fixes - Troubleshoot VM provisioning related issues - Monitors configure and update reservations to target environments. - Managed Releases in the vRA, vRO environent - Build Coding standards for programming in vRA and vRO environments. - Experience with infrastructure, virtualization and storage - Must have experience architecting enterprise Cloud, Virtualization, Server and Storage systems within a broad spectrum of technologies, their knowledge of the subject should be practical and exhaustive. - Performed code reviews. - Evaluate customer’s environment, document plans for implementation and demonstrate the ability to changing requirements, preferences, and schedules. - Capacity planning skill for virtual hosts and VMs. - Experience on planning, deploying and maintain VMware vSphere environments. - Experience in consolidation and upgrade. - VM deployment skills form Templates and OVA/OVF. - Configure SRM and HA. - P2 V and V 2V conversion skills - Good knowledge on VMware integrated backup and restore solutions. - Good knowledge and experience on Windows server operating systems (Windows 2019,2016, 2012, 2008) management and administration. - Implementation experience: - Hypervisors – VMWare, Hyper-V - Operating Systems – UNIX (any), RHEL, Windows - Tools – Should have good knowledge and building blocks of management tools like ServiceNow, SCOM, Solarwinds etc - Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment - Participate in an on-call rotation for support of systems outside of normal business hours. Preferred Qualifications:- Experience with project management - Planning and Co-ordination skills - Good Communication and Analytical skills The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time.
