Job Description Role - Lead Consultant Technology – Solaris Architect for cloud Implementations Location – Amsterdam, Netherlands Infosys is seeking Solaris Architect for Private cloud Implementations with exposure to Solaris. This role requires close partnership and collaboration with other Data Engineers and Subject Matter Experts. Essential Job Duties Lead Consultant having experience with data center migration and Private cloud Implementations. He needs to maintain best practices and collaborates with the architecture and application teams to set the technical vision and target architecture. Role – Solaris Architect - 15+ years in IT industry with at least 8 years of experience in IT solution design - At least 8 years experience in managing Data Center transformation and infrastructure projects - Setup and configure Solaris infrastructure in preparation for migration of targeted applications. - Define and implement optimal system configurations to enable Solaris infrastructure stabilization and overall operational readiness. - Assist with planned critical Solaris migrations. - Provide technical support on Solaris OS 11 and Oracle SPARC M7 hardware infrastructure platform. - Perform assessments for applications infrastructure - production, disaster recovery, and performance testing infrastructure in support readiness (SPARC M7, ZFS storage arrays, and associated Solaris OS -10 and 11 instances). - Provide recommendations for system changes, or enhancements for operational readiness. - Implement recommendations for system changes or enhancements. - Verify and validate installation, setup, and configuration for production, disaster recovery, and performance testing infrastructure (SPARC M7, ZFS storage Arrays, and associated Solaris OS -10 and 11 instances) for operational readiness. - Perform technical support on Oracle servers to include production, failover and disaster recovery activities on SPARC M7 Platform, Solaris server builds, issues triage, resolution, and recovery, Solaris virtualization technologies, Solaris performance tuning and optimization, Solaris patching, Solaris security and system hardening, debugging log files, error messages, connectivity issues, workflows, installation issues, server builds and server migration. - Identify and document steps for triage and technical issue resolution. - Create technical articles for CLIENT technical information base. - Document migration approach, including steps for setup and maintenance of Solaris environments and operating procedures. - Define and implement optimal system configurations to enable Solaris infrastructure stabilization and overall platform operational readiness. - Conduct assessments on filing season applications infrastructure - production, disaster recovery, and performance testing (SPARC M7, ZFS storage Arrays, and associated Solaris OS -10 and 11 instances) for comprehensive system and operating system readiness check and identify risks associated with serviceability, configuration, stability, and performance factors. - Provide a documented diagnostic report with identified risks, issues, and observations, along with recommendations of best practices to address them. - Run proactive analysis reports on filing season Applications infrastructure - production, disaster recovery, and performance testing (SPARC M7, ZFS storage Arrays, and associated Solaris OS -10 and 11 instances). These reports should be run using automated tools, or manually, in the case where automated reports are not possible. - Document verification and validation performed, and confirmation that all Oracle environments are operationally ready. - Install and configure Oracle Enterprise Manager Ops Center for filing season applications infrastructure - production, disaster Recovery, and performance testing (SPARC M7, ZFS storage arrays, and associated Solaris OS -10 and 11 instances). - Participate as required in the project meetings on build/release planning and deployment as an SME on Oracle Platform and Solaris OS. Provide a documented list of recommendations for the technical solutions, implementation guidance, and action items from the meetings. - Provide technical information to the CLIENT lead engineers to enable understanding of the verification and validation of infrastructure. - Provide final documentation to aid with the transition, which includes the assessment process, system validation and verification steps, migration process, setup, maintenance and operating procedures, and transition documentation. - Assist with the technical documentation, transfer plan, training sessions, and transfer of technical skills and industry practices to CLIENT staff upon completion of deliverables and work.
