We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of a Senior Lead Consultant Specialist. In this role, you will:  Platform Architecture - Be responsible for leading the technology design and delivery across programs - Be accountable for ensuring the products & services are supported by the right architectures and solutions meet the customer needs - Lead domain and technical discussions for the program/platform and drive to meet the directions set by the enterprise architect  - Define and understand current state solution and identify options to get to target state and define a path to get to the target state - Be researching current and emerging technologies and proposing changes where needed Solution Design - Lead design solution to build a highly available, resilient platform for a mission-critical payments program  - Be accountable to work with the Portfolio and Platform Architects, Technical Lead & Engineers to define the detailed solution design - Design and Architect software systems that adhere to functional and non-functional requirements  Delivery and Application Management - Demonstrate strong technological capability and act as a trusted technical advisor to the development community  - Mentor team members and to instill architectural thought process in their delivery cadence - Be available to lead incident resolution, when required with expertise in root cause analysis in collaboration with support team To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:  - 12+ years of experience in application design and development with minimum 6+ years in solutions architecture, leading architecture initiatives for large scale mission critical application/product  - Experience in end-to-end architecture design and delivery, specializing in building highly available and resilient applications. - Familiarity with managing and designing Disaster Recovery solutions - Deep technical knowledge in Java, Springboot, APIs and microservices - Expertise in at least one RDBMS (preferably Oracle ) and one NOSQL DB - Good Understanding of aggregate logging platform (Splunk or ELK Kibana) and monitoring and telemetry for distributed applications - Good understanding of Infra components like Network, Storage, Compute - Good understanding of messaging systems like IBM MQ and KAFKA - Preferable to have understanding of at least one of the cache solutions -  Hazelcast or REDIS - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Broad understanding of Devops tooling - Significant contribution to an open-source project - Enthusiastic in participating in Internal/External Hackathons and influencing teams to do the same  You’ll achieve more when you join HSBC. www.hsbc.com/careers  HSBC is committed to building a culture where all employees are valued, respected and opinions count.
