We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Lead Architect. In this role, you will: - Manage the architectural aspects of a projects/portfolio of Digital solutions within a line of business, interfacing with cross functional architects, key stakeholders and leading solutions definitions - Translating requirements created by the business into Global requirements/architecture for that solution and describing it through the set of architecture and design artefacts - Working with Global Digital architects/functions to plan and track the Digital road map into the region based on the Digital software portfolio and demise of legacy systems - Lead the implementation of Digital Platform strategy within the region, managing rollout of solutions - Manage the architectural governance process for Digital components of projects within a portfolio of projects, reviewing the architecture according to governance standards and processes. - Working with teams and architects within a line of business to ensure the solutions are strategically reusable and compliant. - Providing a common vision and architecture across all relevant projects, ensuring technology and solution reuse where appropriate. - Undertaking architectural tasks required for assigned projects to deliver in accordance with Group strategies and methodology. - Ensure project ARs are undertaken at each appropriate stage of the project life cycle. - Effectively manage & escalate risks/issues, to ensure there are no surprises for the PM &/or stakeholder where appropriate To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements: - Proven Experience of 12+ yrs is required - Experience in delivering solutions over a number of years in roles other than architecture - Experience working in relevant environment/s and role i.e. Solutions/Deployment architect in digital technologies - Technical and business stakeholder management from developers to executive management - Experience of being accountable for significant for architectural decisions and provide justification for decisions taken - Ability to collaborate with engineers to ensure solutions adhere to principles and direction set - Ability to convey thoughts, ideas and opinions clearly and concisely face-to-face or virtually with the capability to adapt verbal and written communications to the appropriate audience - Approachable manner and be a supportive team member with a collaborative attitude within a demanding, fun, fast paced Agile environment - Capability to influence and champion new ideas and technical direction within the organization - Personal maturity and confidence to listen, reflect and adapt upon what others communicate to you - An abundance of drive, motivation, determination, dedication, resiliency, honesty and enthusiasm - Culturally awareness and sensitivity - Flexibility and composed under pressure - Strong analytical and problem solving skills Technical Skills - Knowledge of Java/J2EE, Spring, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Dojo/JQuery, WAS, Tomcat - Knowledge of Enterprise Integration technologies such as MuleSoft ESB/MQ/WebServices etc. - Experience of API and service based architectures using SOAP, REST APIs, micro-services and utilising JSON for web or mobile applications - UML Tools / Methodologies - CI/CD - tools such as Confluence, Jira, Jenkins, Git, GitHub, Stash, SonarQube, Performance centre - PaaS/IaaS – OpenShift, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, AWS, Azure & Cloudbees - DevOps processes and experience - Strong understanding of lean and agile methods of software delivery and the principles and practices of BDD, ATDD and TDD - Agile methodologies – Scrum, Kanban, Lean UX, XP - TOGAF Certified (Desirable) You’ll achieve more when you join HSBC. www.hsbc.com/careers HSBC is committed to building a culture where all employees are valued, respected and opinions count.
