Please visit https://www.cognizant.com/cognizant-digital-systems-technology/infrastructure-services About Role: As part of this DevOps team, the OPS Engineer ensures the operational stability, integrity and availability of in-house operated applications. The OPS Engineer actively participates in the SCRUM meetings and monitors, manages, tests and deploys one or more applications noting the detailed technical behavior and performance across all aspects of the application to proactively identify and prevent operational problems. Role & Responsibilities: - Supports several applications during business hours. - Monitors the availability and performance of the services - Configures and implements Monitoring Tooling to enable 24x7 monitoring of the entire technology stack using appropriate Event Alerts. - Monitors a system, including interfaces, databases, middleware, (virtual) operating system and hardware. This primarily applies to the Production environments but in a less formal way is relevant for the Acceptance environments as well. - Provides 2nd-line support, i.e. resolves incidents, does root cause analysis and is proactive to look into resilience patterns and design if how to solve scenarios proactively. - Executes deployment and rollback scripts in the Acceptance and Production environment and is able to migrate these to the new Azure DevOps stack, whilst automating as much of it as possible. - Determines impact of ING Infra changes, and patch schedules and takes appropriate actions. - Plays an active role in the Continuous Delivery process to improve the time-to-market delivery for quickly adding business value by delivering the teams business-solutions. This includes automation of testing. - Perform Risk Analysis for reported security events, - Audit and verify granted user access (SOLL/IST) resulting in adjusted user access.
