We aim to be where the growth is, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and, ultimately, helping people to fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions.   We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist   In this role, you will: - Designing and developing new products and services - Work in a team to deliver new technologies to the department - Be responsible for ownership of the design and roadmap of services - Working with our customers to help integrate our services into their end-to-end solution architectures - help identify opportunities for new services and technologies - Designing service-based solutions meeting the needs of multiple customers - Helping to drive better software design, build and release management practices within the team - Building sustainable software with quality, reusability, scalability and supportability - Troubleshooting defects and devising sustainable solutions - Providing support and assistance to our customers when needed - Keeping up to date with current technologies relevant to our architecture patterns To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements: - 7+ years of experience in a software development role - Good technical knowledge and experience of: Core Java and Spring (>5 years) - Design Patterns - DevOps, CICD and version control - Service orientated architecture and event-based architecture - Version control systems such as GIT - Databases (Relational or NoSQL) - Team player - Must be comfortable working to tight timescales - Proficient in English with strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills - Ability to solve complex problems and propose solutions You’ll achieve more when you join HSBC. www.hsbc.com/careers   HSBC is committed to building a culture where all employees are valued, respected and opinions count.
