We aim to be where the growth is, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and, ultimately, helping people to fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions.  We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Consultant Specialist    In this role, you will: ·       As a cloud engineer you will develop and maintain cloud platform for WSIT – Digital in pursuit of the overall technology modernization & transformation goals. ·       You will demonstrate an innovative approach to engineering & systems practices, contributing towards overall cloud infra build within BBUK. ·       You will act as developer advocate & partner, to both represent developer's needs and also assist developers in adoption of cloud & emerging technologies ·       You will foster a culture that has continuous improvement with automation at its heart.  ·       You will contribute to the evolution of ways of working & operating models that scale the organization and its technology adoption and utilization.     ·       As a cloud engineer, you will coach and mentor colleagues as part of a reciprocal relationship that ensures the entire team maintain a cutting-edge skillset. ·        You will act as the platform authority with IT and Business stakeholders to ensure compliance with technical principles, design governance and delivery practice ways of working. · To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements: ·       Hands on experience designing & deploying global, highly scalable cloud-based solutions (ideally on GCP) ·       Experience of designing & implementing complex application & infrastructure solutions ·       You will be highly collaborative, comfortable working cross-functionally & across geographies ·       Experience delivering ‘X-as-code’ based solutions & applying devops principles ·       Expertise in Kubernetes & its ecosystem ·       Developer & scripting skillset/experience (Java, Python, BASH, HCL, terraform & packer) ·       Experience of working under agile project/delivery methodologies ·       Self-starter and focused on deliverables and a biased for action ·       Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills. ·       Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science or another relevant field    You’ll achieve more when you join HSBC. www.hsbc.com/careers  HSBC is committed to building a culture where all employees are valued, respected and opinions count.
