WALMART CONNECT, BUISNESS MARKETING OPERATIONS Marketing Operations within the WMC Marketing team is a small and mighty team. We are the owners of Business & Strategic Operations, Marketing Ways of Working, Process Mapping, Tools, Budget & Headcount, Creative Operations and Program Management and workplace culture initiatives. Our scope spans all x-functional teams within marketing, Walmart Connect, and Walmart teams. If there is a marketing process that needs to be figured out, we are typically the first team asked to help drive clarity and map out R&Rs and a clear way of working. It’s our job in marketing operations to ensure operations across the WMC Marketing org are streamlined. JOB OVERVIEW As the Associate Director of Business Marketing Operations, you will be critical to the success of business operations within the WMC Marketing organization. You and your team’s scope includes strategic operations, Annual Operations Planning (AOP), Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), QBRs/MBRs, budget & invoices, headcount management, marketing wide operations, and culture/workplace initiatives. This role will work very closely with the Director of Marketing Operations to create and maintain streamlined business operations for the organization. This role will report directly to the Director of Marketing Operations. This is a leadership position and has direct reports. IDEAL CANDIDATE - Understands & is excited about the business and can quickly synthesize marketing strategies across the marketing org for leadership needs - Excels at building clear & concise marketing strategic PowerPoints - Has experience mapping out marketing OKRs and creating an easy way to track across the org - Has Budget, AOP planning and Headcount management experience - Extremely detailed, has great follow-through, thoughtful in approach - Enthusiastic about driving workplace initiatives that drive employee satisfaction & retention - Team management experience Core Responsibilities: - Develop & drive Strategic Marketing Leadership decks across the marketing leadership team. Develop the template and create any upfront strategic slides, drive the comms to the leads, review deck to ensure accuracy to intended objective and ensure it goes through proper approvals channels before finalizing. - Develop & drive operations for tracking Marketing Goals:Marketing’s OKRs - Quarterly + Yearly Recaps & Reviews - Top Key Initiatives - Prioritization Tool: Develop a streamlined easy way for leads to prioritize work across the organization - Lead the strategy to drive Marketing team’s workstream visibility and alignment with WMC Leadership. Ensure your team operationalizes & executes upon strategy and refines when needed. - AOP Planning Support: Templates, Decks, AOP Headcount planning - Help with Leadership Offsite Planning - Develop and drive workplace initiatives that make WMC Marketing a better place to work. Be creative, proactive and enthusiastic about new culture driving ideas to bring to the org. Your team will lead the strategy, plan and execution of these ideas. - Ensure Budget and Headcount workstreams your team owns are running smoothly. Step in and advise or course correct when necessary. Help streamline process improvements for budget & headcount operations when necessary. - Ensure all Marketing Wide operations are running smoothly and step-in when necessary to help your team: Monthly All Hands, Weekly Office Hours, various marketing wide forums, etc. - Develop new streamlined processes for marketing wide operations that make it easier for leads and the org to have visibility into operational forums & tasks each week. Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years experience with a consulting or marketing operations background. - Has experience working with senior leadership - Has experience streamlining business operations for marketing teams - Great at building PPT decks - Extremely detail oriented and organized in thought and execution - Ability to set and communicate clear expectations - Ability to understand and thrive in a fast-paced environment - Ability to work effectively and achieve results in ambiguous situations - High EQ At Walmart, we offer competitive pay as well as performance-based incentive awards and other great benefits for a happier mind, body, and wallet.
