We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Business Analyst. Principal Responsibilities - Manage the capture, analysis and documentation of data & analytics requirements and processes (both business and IT) - Speak as the ‘voice of the customer’, bridging the gap between the business and IT - Work with the Agile teams to break epics down into user stories. Review epics and user stories to ensure they align to the product vision, challenging where necessary - Determine business suitability of proposed requirements with architect, developers and other relevant team members and provide recommendations - Manage product backlogs and priority with business stakeholders - Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders. Define and agree scope of delivery with stakeholders - Assist testing and data verification with business users - Assist internal IT governance processes and cloud approval processes - Manage data lineage and data catalogue for data asset inventory of data platform - Document data requirements, data dictionary, best practices, and guidelines for business users - Work with diverse team members and stakeholders located in different locations, e.g. China, India, Poland, UK and US - Assist and define and track measure of success for deliverables and business benefits - Proficiency in developing and defining backlog items (epics/features/user stories) that guide the development team - Demonstrable track record of delivery of end-to-end data analytics solutions in a Banking and Financial sectors - Experience in managing data ingestion demand and conducting prioritization with business stakeholders - Experience in integrating data analytics solutions with digital applications - Knowledge of internal IT governance processes and cloud approval processes - Experience in managing data lineage and data catalogue for data asset inventory of data platform - Strong stakeholder management skills - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, complemented by an ability to collaborate with business, architecture and development teams with different locations and time zones - Strong decision-making, problem solving skills, lateral thinking, analytical and interpersonal skills - Experience in different data platform and data products (e.g. Teradata, Hadoop and GCP) - Knowledge of ETL, SQL, BigQuery, APIs, Data Architecture, Data Management principle and patterns, Data Ingest, Data Refinery, Data Provision, etc. - Experience in Agile Project methodologies and tools such as JIRA and Confluence  You’ll achieve more when you join HSBC.  http://www.hsbc.com/careers HSBC is committed to building a culture where all employees are valued, respected and opinions count.
