Role Purpose

In line with the TCF principles the organization has changed its approach from mere transaction processing outlets to need based sales. The PSE would be responsible for implementing TCF principles in his day to day dealing with the customers. The major function of this role is to ensure effective delivery of branch customer interface functions in the front office and teller areas in order to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction along with operational efficiency.

- Remain alert and promptly report to the Sanctions Officer/ INM FCC office/ Line manager ( As applicable and required by  the AML and sanction Policy) if a customer is found to be engaging in sanction evasion activities or violations of AML policy or any other related procedures.
- Understand the legal responsibility to be vigilant for unusual activity and reporting of the unusual activities
- Support the Country or Regional FCC AML Office/ AML Investigations by providing additional information when required
- Responsible for attending and successfully completing the AML and Sanctions related assigned training in the mandated timeframe
- Understanding the consequences of failing to attend or successfully complete the training as mandated by the AML Education Lead FCC; 
- Requesting additional AML training that you deem necessary or appropriate to perform your jobs through your entity manager
- Demonstrate an understanding of PEP acceptance, prohibition, CDD & EDD guidelines in order to ensure that the INM RBWM is fully compliant with the PEP LoBP.
- Understand the relatively high reputational risk that arises from any perceived weaknesses in controls in respect of substantial cash deposits or withdrawals activity, wire transfer, monetary instruments and pouch and mail
- To be aware and Identify high risk indicators for various products and Services offered by INM RBWM example Cash, insurance, credit cards products etc
- Ensure that all records are obtained in respect of INM RBWM customers or New to bank customer for any products and services provided by HSBC are as per the process laid down.
- Must ensure that the prescribed process is being followed while dealing with non HSBC customers request for monetary instruments and wire transfers
- Ensure Adherence to the regulatory guidelines and internal AML & Sanction Policy of HSBC, which includes pouch and mail, monetary instruments, cash services and payment transparency Line of Business Procedures
- To be aware of AML risk posed by pouch and mail, Monetary instruments, cash services and wire transfer services and should undergo the mandatory training for the same
- Necessary remediation steps need to be undertaken in case if there is any breach or non-adherence to the policy laid down in the LoBP
- Must undertake necessary due diligence to ensure that the nature of the transaction is in sync with the customer profile, else raise it to line manager for further clarification
- The staff must be aware of the scope of services of various products and services that are offered and those which are prohibited because of the guidelines laid down in the line of Business procedures and must ensure the same is communicated to customer in a effective and polite manner
- Ensure adequate due diligence is undertaken by the Individual/team to ensure that the nature of the various transactions of wire transfer, cash services, monetary instruments are in sync with customer profile

- Graduate with 2 years of experience
- Holistic understanding of the Branch Operations and Processes of the bank

Principal Responsibilities

Impact on the Business 

- Provide support to the RM in delivering an relationship management service which provides value-added services  and guidance to customers, prospects and professionals
- Work with the RM to relationship manage, up to XX of the largest and most complex relationships in the Business Banking Area
- Under the guidance and direction of the RM, analyse the financial reports and MI of customers and prospective customers, preparing credit applications and customer presentations to establish and promote HSBC as the “Leading International Business” bank
- Work with the RM to develop and research a target list of prospect companies, and identify customer needs and researching potential solutions from existing customers
- Act as a coordinator when the RM introduces appropriate colleagues from the product areas and other group entities to develop solutions which meet the needs of the customer
- Support the RM in winning new business
- Identify customer needs and provide solutions which will support  businesses and both grow and maintain long term customer relationships and retain existing customers
- By working with the RM to coordinate the activity of key service providers to implement a joined up approach to identifying business prospects
- Assist the RM in preparing and having Strategic Business Conversations and completing Strategic Business Reviews to ensure that we fully understand the customers plans and needs and provide solutions to meet these.
- Obtaining, researching and analysing customer information (financial and non-financial) to prepare high quality and professional applications for credit facilities and to meet identified customer needs.
- On behalf of the RM, undertaking the appropriate analysis and preparation of proposals, presentations and pitches to prospective customers.

- Protect sensitive customer and bank information by ensuring documents, computers, files, and all confidential matters are appropriately handled as set forth by policy. 
- Maintain and observe all HSBC control standards and implement and observe the Group Compliance Policy, including the timely implementation of recommendations made by internal/external auditors and external regulators.
- Compliance with and management of sales suitability risks and requirements
- Ensure all completed sales and prospecting activity documentation is appropriately completed, approved and stored to provide performance tracking, targeted future sales efforts and compliance with sales and transactional suitability guidelines and requirements

- Minimum Bachelor's degree / Graduation required or as required for the role whichever is higher
- At least 2 years of relevant experience working in a relationship management role

Principal Responsibilities

- Acquire as well as manage a portfolio of Commercial Banking customers specifically engaged into New Age/Start-up/Tech Business.
- Primary responsibilities would be 2 fold:     New Business development, creating robust sourcing channels, liaise with internal and external stakeholders towards on-boarding servicing the clients and adherence to internal guidelines for any new on-boarding.
- Managing a portfolio of clients, enhancing HSBC’s wallet share by deepening relationship, cross-sell of suitable products and perform periodic due diligence on all relationships managed.

- Develop the bank’s understanding and expertise in the Start-up segment and work on building robust business, product and risk (both credit risk and financial crime risk) management capabilities.
- Build strong engagement with external ecosystem of investors, influencers and thought leaders in the new Age economy ecosystem.
- Provide direction / be involved in new acquisition and channel development, and promote CMB’s two-pronged strategy “Best Bank for Business” and “Digital International Bank of Choice.”
- Work with Product and Risk partners to develop broad understanding, product capabilities and partnerships in the ecosystem.

- Ensure that he/she keeps themselves abreast with the latest in the market, competition benchmarks and latest in banking technology including digital developments.
- Have a strong sense of how businesses work specially in the Start-up/New Age business space and acumen for understanding business dynamics and requirement mapping.

- Preferred candidates will have strong B2B experience in the Banking space along with expertise in handling Start-ups and new age businesses.
- Good knowledge on some of the products that include Trade, Cash management, Digital products and Treasury.
- Experience in Credit risk and management of Asset relationship would be an added advantage.
- Strong experience in creating new business opportunities and acquiring clients for the organisation.
- Min work experience of 5-7 years post MBA.
