Job Description Title – Consultant / Senior Consultant Role – Application Support Specialist / Site Reliability Engineer Speciality - Trade Floor Application - Forex Trading Platform – Unix / Oracle / FX Products – Zurich, Switzerland Technologies –Messaging Technologies – TIBCO/ Unix / Oracle SyBase / Azure Work Location – Opfikon, Switzerland (Hybrid model – Min. 3 days in Office) - Support the Service & Product Manager across several technical domains. - Ensure workflows, processes, tooling and applications are of the highest quality standard. - Contribute expertise to the management of existing and new IT products and services. - Define workarounds for known errors and initiate process improvements. - Maintain a knowledge database. Your Team You’ll be working in the IT Forex Risk team in Opfikon, Switzerland. We are a global team supporting a few proprietary trading applications used by FX businesses in UBS. The team is responsible for:- Applications support and deployment. - Planning for business continuity in the event of a disaster. - Support for infrastructure maintenance. - Enhancements to improve applications performance, redundancy and supportability. Your expertise- Trade Support - Supporting Traders and resolve the trading issues raised by Traders. - Knowledge of FX products - Ability to quickly master new technology. - Experience with Unix variants such as Linux and Solaris - Familiar with relational databases such as Sybase and Oracle - Familiar with messaging technologies such as MQ, Tibco RV and Tibco EMS - Good to have experience in any of the FX Trading platform or Tool.
