Job Description

Job Description: - Candidate must have 9+ years of experience in Teradata FSLDM. - Hands-on in Teradata industry data model.  Good working knowledge in Teradata BKEY, BMAP, GCFR standards & components. - Expertise in data modeling principles/methods including conceptual, logical & physical Data Models. - Collecting, understanding, modeling, documenting, and communicating the data requirements necessary to build and integrate data models for business processes. - Understanding of data architecture and modeling practices and concepts including entity-relationship diagrams, normalization, abstraction, de-normalization, dimensional modeling, and Metadata modeling practices.  - Performing data analysis, data mapping, and data profiling to bring new sources into landing, staging, integration & semantic layers. - Generating physical data models and the associated DDL from logical data models. - Develop Data Warehouse Dimensional modeling constructs; Develop and maintain the Data Warehouse. - Experience in ETL, cleansing, customization, reformatting, integration, and insertion into a data warehouse. - Ability to clearly communicate complex technical ideas, regardless of the technical capacity of the audience. - Knowledge of the mathematical foundations of statistical inference and forecasting such as time series analysis, multivariate analysis, cluster analysis, and optimization. - Ability to quickly learn and adapt modeling methods from case studies or other proven approaches. - Must have taken the activity to understand the requirements, discuss with the Business to summarize them, and convert them into Conceptual Data Model. - Must have worked in Teradata 12.0 or greater environments. - Very good knowledge of Advanced Teradata concepts like Join strategy, Index choice, Performance Optimization, Compression, etc. - Experience in Teradata utilities BTEQ, MLOAD, FLOAD, - Exposure to query tuning. - Good understanding of ETL methodology. - Leadership Skills should be able to lead the pool of Modelers - Strong understanding to concepts of SDLC methodologies like Waterfall & Agile. #LI-JL1
