Job Description Infosys is seeking a Storage SAN Administrator that will be a key player in the Consulting Team that helps discover and define the problem statement, evaluate the solution option and make recommendations. The Storage SAN Administrator will create detailed design, architecture and process artifacts and implement the deployment plan, and will also support knowledge transfer with the objective of providing value-adding consulting solutions that enable our clients to meet the changing needs of the global landscape. Required Qualifications: • Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Oakland, CA, or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel in the US • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education • At least 4 years of Information Technology experience • At least 4 years of experience with: • Dell/EMC Isilon, CIFS/NFS • Dell/EMC XtremeIO • Dell/EMC Avamar and Data Domain • Dell/EMC RecoverPoint • IBM SVC • Storage fabric solutions including both Brocade and Cisco technologies. • Working knowledge on Enterprise Storage (NAS/SAN) solutions with NFS, CIFS, iSCSI, FCP, S3 technology • Hands-on experience with enterprise SAN (Storage Area Network) management to include capabilities and technologies such as: Fiber Channel zoning, FCoE (Fiber Channel over Ethernet) unified fabric, HBA/CNA (Host Bus Adapter/Converged Network Adapter), storage controllers, and LUN (Logical Unit Number), RAID (Redundant Array of Independent Disks), and file sharing / NAS (Network Addressable Storage). • Working knowledge on parallel file-system solution and Directory Services like LDAP/NIS • Networking fundamentals including switching, routing, firewall, DNS, subnetting, • Creating requirement specifications based on Architecture/Design /Detailing of Processes • Application-level backups like Oracle/SQL/SAP through DD boost (Power Protect) • Working knowledge and experience to manage the online backup modules such as Oracle, MSSQL, SAP, NDMP etc. • Automation using any of Python, Perl, Shell, PHP,HTML, Java Script, JQuery, MYSQL, NOSQL will be preferred • Capturing requirements related to internal/external consulting, documenting, and mapping current business process. • Job Duties Include: • Documenting processes, procedures, upgrades, and the resolution of problems • Upgrading software, monitoring performance, and evaluating trends and needs • Managing, transforming, and providing user access to large datasets • Installing, configuring, supporting, and maintaining SANs, and NASs, and associated technology • Administering storage networks, servers and their associated schedules • Must be available to work in PST business hours • U.S. citizens and those authorized to work in the U.S. are encouraged to apply. Preferred Qualifications: • Excellent Communications and client interaction skills along with exceptional written and verbal skills as well as technical documentation • Extraordinary Planning, Project Management, Coordination, and Analytical skills • Hands-on experience in working in Global Delivery Model with onsite/offshore resources • Exceptional Organizational Skills • Ability to manage and prioritize tasks efficiently • Readiness to demonstrate a proactive attitude • Solid attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills are required • Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time.
