What you'll do... Position: Staff Software Engineer Job Location: 702 S.W. 8th Street, Mail Stop 0215, Bentonville, AR 72716 Telecommuting/working from anywhere in the U.S. is permissible. Duties: Drive the technical design and implementation of applications and tools for distributed eCommerce systems. Guide the discovery phase of projects to develop high-level design by partnering with the product management, project management, and business and user experience teams. Review project requirements and translate them into technical solutions by gathering requested information. Design and implement Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment tool Jenkins and work on CI/CD Server Looper to build applications. Design and implement applications in cloud-based infrastructure such as Kubernetes. Build and maintain enterprise and cloud database systems. Perform regular code and design review processes in several environments such as GitHub, Visio, Confluence, and Jira Systems. Participate in Agile SCRUM practices. Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (Any), or related field and 6 years of experience in large scale enterprise software development environment; OR Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (Any), or related field and 3 years of experience in large scale enterprise software development environment. Skills required: Experience designing, developing, and deploying REST APIs using Java. Experience with service-oriented architecture. Experience designing and testing relational database management systems. Experience building continuous integration and deployment pipelines using Jenkins. Experience programming in Java and JavaScript frameworks. Experience with Agile SCRUM practices. Experience with service-side programming. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills. Salary Range: The annual salary range for this full-time position is $112,000/year to $216,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
