DESCRIPTION Based from our Japan head office in Tokyo, we are looking for a pro-active, experienced, passionate and customer-obsessed Sr. Business Intelligence Engineer (Sr. BIE) who will work for the development of process automation and solutions. As a Sr. BIE, you will drive efficiency in data handling process and lead advanced analysis for JP Ops and ROW network. You will have the exciting opportunity to work on one of Amazon’s most ambitious and complex efforts. You will work closely with the business, operations, and technical teams on many non-standard and unique business problems and support business decision by collecting required and related business data from external/internal sources. The successful candidate will be a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This role requires an individual with excellent communication with cross-functional teams who strives to answer business/operational questions rather than just producing numbers and who operates independently and works across functional boundaries. Key job responsibilities - Design, develop and maintain scaled, automated, user-friendly systems, reports and BI dashboards enabling stakeholders to manage the business and make effective decisions. - Be connected with and influential for stakeholders. Working with data engineer and software development teams, make recommendations for new metrics, techniques and strategies to delight customers. - Refine data strategies across functional teams and make technical trade-off decisions for long term/short-term needs. Challenge business teams to think differently about how they digest and use the data insights to make informed decisions. - Escalate, articulate and overcome operational and technical obstacles to ensure continued business success.
