We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of  Software Engineer. In this role, you will: - The role is responsible to cover activities on Design and Development (CTB) as well as Production Processing Support (RTB) fronts. Provide support across the end-to-end delivery, utilising the skills and expertise to carry out software development, testing and operational support activities with the ability to move between these according to demand. - Liaise with other engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to understand and drive the product or service’s direction. Create robust technical design and a strategy for development of new components to meet requirements. Work on test plans including unit and integration tests, within automated test environments to ensure code quality aspect. - Provide support to DevOps teams working at all stages of a product or service release/change with a strong customer focus and end to end journeys. Establish a digital environment and automate processes to minimize variation and ensure predictable high quality code and data. - Working with Ops, Dev and Test Engineers to ensure operational issues (performance, operator intervention, alerting, design defect related issues, etc.) are identified and addressed at all stages of a product or service release / change. Role demands working in shifts and provide On-Call support to production system. - Ensure service resilience, service sustainability and recovery time objectives are met for all the software solutions delivered. Actively drive the mandatory exercises from time to time on resilience, recovery and service management. - Responsible for automating the continuous integration / continuous delivery pipeline within a DevOps Product/Service team driving a culture of continuous improvement. Also should be well aware of the various code scanning findings and provide meaningful remediation solutions. - Keep up to date and have expertise on current tools, technologies and areas like cyber security and regulations pertaining to aspects like data privacy, consent, data residency etc. that are applicable - Should oversee and ensure all the IT General Controls (e.g. SDLC, DEPL, etc) are followed and also be able to provide evidence when required by audit reviews from time to time. To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements: - Having past hands-on experience in working on data warehousing or reporting systems - Preferred technology skills -PL/SQL, SQL, Python, Shell Scripting - Experience in any batch monitoring tool is plus. - Ability to translate business level requirements to system level components or blocks. Ability to understand the vulnerabilities and subsequent patching for infrastructure - Good knowledge on infrastructure set-ups. Having good skills to manage a team and plan and implement support model for IT. Should be able to provide constructive feedback to the team and manage assignments effectively. - Good knowledge on incident management and ability to lead the team from the front during incident/crisis calls. Ability manage various stakeholders which could be business users, Change Delivery, Audit Representatives, etc. - Should be able to provide various metrics around system performance, availability and problem management on regular basis to the senior management. - Candidate will be required to continually enhance the skills within a number of specialisms which include gaining business knowledge, vendor product understanding, Impact Assessments, Development, Code Scanning and Deployments along with operational / business support.
