About Team: Health and Wellness Technology Our team creates reusable technologies to help with customer acquisition, onboarding, and empowering merchants, while ensuring a seamless experience for both of these stakeholders. We also optimize tariffs and assortment in accordance with Walmart's Everyday Low Cost philosophy. We not only create affordability, but we also deliver customized experiences for customers across all channels - in-store, mobile app, and websites. What you'll do: As a member of the Health and Wellness Engineering group, you'll have the opportunity to build and maintain systems that directly improve healthcare options for Walmart's vast customer base. The Prescription Records Management team develops and maintains critical services and functionalities related to pharmacy prescription order creations and workflows while adhering to high coding and quality control standards to ensure safety and compliance requirements are met. As a member of the team, you’ll be able to say that you work for the world’s largest retailer and contribute to the development of best-in-class solutions that can drastically change business as we know it. - You’ll be responsible for designing, implementing and testing code that can directly improve our patient's lives while making our pharmacy associate's jobs easier. - You’ll independently handle high impact, critical software/systems monitoring issues, troubleshoot business and production issues. - You'll help cross-functional teams to solve for business problems and develop solutions that enable us to redefine a “best-in-class” customer experience. What you'll bring: - Expert level knowledge of Java. - Experience in developing microservices architecture using Java Spring Boot. - Experience in configuring Queue and Topic routes for the message flow between applications using Apache Kafka or similar messaging framework. - Experience with refactoring/redesigning/rewriting existing applications is a plus - Experience with NoSQL and cloud-based databases such as Cosmos DB - Solid devops skills in troubleshooting live applications and assessing performance bottlenecks of applications.
