What you'll do... Position: Senior Manager I, Procurement Job Location: 702 SW 8th Street, Bentonville, AR 72716 Duties: Collaborates with teams to accomplish business objectives relative to procurement and merchandising strategy development, joint procurement planning and execution in protein categories; developing, streamlining, and automating processes that enable key business objectives which optimize product cost, quality, and supply; participating as a subject matter expert in software technology and  systems and the protein industry, proposing future purchasing and contracting program developments; and representing the division on cross-company teams when projects are being developed to change or enhance  processes. Set priorities during business cycles impacted by budget development, project creation, and financial reporting requirements; developing training classes on relevant subjects in each discipline where none exists; identifying functional gaps in existing teams; Working with protein category leaders and cross-functional team to provide the framework, support for strategy presentations, senior leadership updates, business deep dives and business cases. Acting as a liaison with the strategy team to align the day-to-day detailed business with long term protein strategic objectives, including Annual Operating Plan and Long-Range Plan. Providing analytical support in protein categories by developing reports and dashboards. Supporting the management of cross functional projects with such partners as Responsible Sourcing, Logistics, Sustainability, Quality, etc. Developing RACI charts, project timelines, key milestones, and deliverables across the protein portfolio. Tracking progress against milestone deliverables and developing a communication plan for all stakeholders. Supporting the digital transformation of Walmart protein procurement in partnership with other cross functional teams, thereby automating manual processes. Drive, streamline and automate the monthly data collection process in support of financial and business KPI reporting by adapting software applications. ; Monitor system performance and manage large amounts of data while able to deal with ambiguity,  working with business unit leaders to ensure the program meets their needs from a process standpoint; identifying and eliminating bottlenecks and problem areas; working cross-functionally to develop process enhancements; collaborating with teams to incorporate solutions; and ensuring cross-company programs are tailored to meet the needs of the protein division. Develops and manages budgeting and reporting by managing collection of data and development of capital budgets; Manages proposed business solutions development and implementation by collaborating with key stakeholders to interpret and evaluate requests; developing and maintaining an understanding of business operations and technical systems, processes, and procedures; leading risk analysis and providing recommendations on resolutions; evaluating and measuring operational business processes in order to close gaps and continually improve programs and services; influencing strategic direction and deliverables to establish understanding and acceptance of solutions; communicating customer goals, objectives, and strategy to cross-functional leadership and project teams; providing guidance on and approving implementation method and prioritization in order to maximize resource utilization; and anticipating and mitigating potential risk to the company. Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Business, Engineering or related field plus 3 years of experience in supply chain or related field; OR 5 years of experience in supply chain or related field. Skills required: Must have experience with: Supporting executive management with protein strategy development, updates, deep dives, business cases and long-term planning in collaboration; Product demand planning and delivery execution; Developing financial reports related to product costing; Building queries to build reports using  SQL queries; Digital transformation in partnership with the Tech team and other cross-functional teams; Analytical tools such as advanced excel and tableau to develop analytical reporting and dashboards for protein businesses; Implementation of Lean Six Sigma/lean manufacturing concept, process improvement, standardization and implementing automation in the process; Project management and planning; Developing RACI charts, project timelines, and scope; Developing and recommending sourcing process improvement in the meat/protein industry; Protein/meat manufacturing or processing industry; and Optimization of cost, quality, and supply.
