As a Yield Analyst within the Sales Enablement at Sam’s Club Member Access Platform (MAP) team, you will support a team that drives high integrity and strive to apply strong deductive reasoning in all situations. You are a highly organized professional with the ability to prioritize and support high demand team. Directly reporting to the Yield Lead, you will play a critical role in helping to define inventory & pricing strategies with the goal of maximizing revenue and profit. You will have the ability to build productive and positive relationships across the organization while delivering impactful results to grow the MAP business. You'll make an impact by... - Focus on inventory forecasting, develop time series forecasting models to provide visibility of future available inventory that highlights inventory risks easily - Provide analysis on pricing, deals and discounts, evaluation of inventory volume, rate cards - Partner with Revenue Operations on annual and long range inventory planning sessions - Develop pricing and optimization models to improve monetization strategies. Drive pricing decisions based on our demand and supply to further optimize our advertising yield. - Responsible for the creation and maintenance of reporting models and insights for advertising initiatives, which can include the production of revenue models, and the assessment of new and speculative ad product initiatives. - Manage and understand the complete picture of inventory utilization (sell through, eCPM, CTR, etc); recommend and implement plans to increase yield - Distribute weekly and bi-weekly inventory update to cross functional team to inform revenue opportunity & inventory gaps for all product types, including but not limited to onsite display and sponsored product search - Support ad analytics efforts supporting advertising growth across all revenue channels through collaboration with Ad Operations, Product team, Sales and others to implement yield solutions and recommendations You'll sweep us off our feet if... - You possess strong written and verbal communication skills and relationship building skills. - You are highly organized and can synthesize multiple inputs and keep track of details with precision. - You possess the ability to thrive in a cross-functional, highly matrixed environment with highly collaborative, team-oriented approach to problem solving. - You have stellar problem-solving skills, demonstrated ability to structure complex problems, develop solutions with little guidance and craft high-quality, analytically sound, detail-oriented outputs - You have strong presentation skills, especially related to building compelling and easy to interpret presentations that drive informed decision making. Minimum Qualifications – - Bachelor’s degree in quantitative discipline (Economics, Mathematics, Statistic, Operations Research) or equivalent practical experience - 5+ years of media analytics & yield experience in a digital advertising environment - Excellent quantitative and qualitative problem-solving skills, experience with financial analysis, forecasting, probability and statistical modeling - Proficient in data science and statistical programming languages (Python or R) - Experience with SQL and relational databases (for example Hive, Big Query) - Experience in developing monetization strategies, inventory optimization, and campaign management - Knowledge of inventory forecasting, digital specs /formats, and mediamath (i.e. CPM, CPV, CTR, CPC, ROAS, etc.) and media concepts such as: viewability, IVT, brand safety, etc. - Strong analytical thinking and the ability to clearly communicate findings and solutions, both written and verbal - Ability to effectively influence and communicate cross-functionally with a strong focus on collaboration Minimum Qualifications...
