DESCRIPTION Amazon Finance Operations organization is looking for an experienced reporting and business intelligence (BI) analyst. Th BI analyst will be responsible for reporting maintenance, development and productivity analytics for the retail collections organization. Key job responsibilities As part of our commitment to your development, the successful candidate will also gain exposure to cross- functional projects and initiatives, while the key responsibilities will include: - Build accurate and functional dashboards to provide stakeholders with data they need for their work - Build data sets - Access and use variety of analytical tools (such as Amazon Redshift, SQL consoles, ETLM) - Write efficient queries in SQL - Use data to answer business questions. - Build ad hoc analysis as needed - Participate in further improvement and automation projects within the team - Obtain the required data by working with other engineering teams - Collaborate with business users on requirements, objectives and measures. - Apply best practices of documenting code and solutions and continue leading a 'Fin-ops builders' on site initiative. Base pay for this position starts from EUR 2,300 gross per month and salary depends on the skills and requirements, there will be further pay components such as a sign on bonus and the eligibility to participate in a restricted stock unit scheme operated independently by Amazon.com Inc. in USA. About the team The successful candidate will be reporting to Senior AR EU manager and will be supporting reporting needs and will be the custodian or data used for decision making process. The BI analyst will need to be able to navigate within the Amazon data-lake structures and data sets. Will ensure the classifications and definitions are synchronized across Global AR space. Will be closely cooperating with Global reporting team (GARDA) and will transition operation reports/dashboards on to global reporting platform (Tableau). The BI analyst will be closely supporting AR managers and analysts with small scale as well as cross functional projects and improvement initiatives. Will have a strong desire to harmonize and improve efficiency and to exceed expectations in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations: Bratislava, SVK BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - Fluent English - Ability to combine and deal with the complex and unstructured data tables provisioned across varied sources - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Ability to create and manage work plans, timelines and accommodate multiple priorities - Proven experience with at least one of the following (Tableau, PowerBi, Quicksight) - Strong Excel skills - Experience in a Business Analyst or BI Engineer role - Professional experience working with large data sets and writing complex SQL queries to pull data (or fluency in SQL) PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Relevant experience in business intelligence or business analyst role, including data warehousing and business intelligence tools, techniques and technology - Effective verbal and written communication to senior audiences, including strong data presentation and visualization skills - Experience with ETLM tools Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
