We are looking for a Lead Data Engineer with overall 10+ years of industry experience. Roles and Responsibilities: • Responsibility for the implementation of technology solutions and mapping the business requirements to systems/technical requirements to ensure alignment with the enterprise architectural plan. • Accountability for detailed component specifications and translating these into detailed designs for implementation. • Support of the strategic direction of technology investments to assist in the development of the enterprise architecture and maximize the return on technology investment. • Responsibility for the adherence to appropriate standards (performance, monitor capability, audit acceptability, secure environment). Guide solutions through the appointed Architecture Review Board, as required. • Responsibility for achieving the balance between functional, service quality and systems management requirements. • Communication of architecture objectives to business and consulting during the development of product requirements. • Analyze and design domain, application or application architectures in alignment with IT enterprise architecture standards and patterns. • Primary contact for any technical issues or questions related to the project. Mandatory Skills: • Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate • Must have expert SQL Development experience (more than 8 years) • Must be able to perform Analysis: o Data Analysis o SQL Script Analysis to understand the business logic o Unix jobs analysis • Must have good hands-on experience on writing PL/SQL, UNIX Shell scripting , Git & Jenkins and Control-M Scheduling. • Exposure to Testing and should be able to efficiently perform Testing. • Banking Domain experience (7-9 years) • Experience deploying/managing Data and Data Warehouse solutions • Experience understanding architecture-related distributed data systems, specifically within one of the following: o Data Engineering technologies (e.g. Spark, Hadoop, Kafka) o Data Warehousing (e.g. SQL, OLTP/OLAP/DSS) o Stakeholder management - experience in effectively engaging and influencing technical and business audiences. o Comfortable writing code in either Python, Scala or Java o Good AWS fundamentals knowledge o Deep understanding of Solution Development life cycles, management of Enterprise Architecture and the application of IT risk & security considerations o Thought leadership – able to monitor market trends and to drive creative thinking on future technology capabilities which will help increase the business value o Strong Data Modelling knowledge in both 3rd Normal and Star Schema modelling. Good To have Skills:- Knowledge on cloud technologies, ideally AWS. Have worked in an data operations position for a large Enterprise. - Working knowledge in Infrastructure as code frameworks, Ansible/Terraform/ Cloud formation/Docker/ECS/Kubernetes/Packer Additional Skills:Excellent customer interfacing skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and outstanding analytical and Problem-solving skills.
