We aim to be where the growth is, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and, ultimately, helping people to fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions.   We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Lead Consultant Specialist   In this role, you will: - We are looking for an experienced technologist who will join our delivery team supporting development and maintenance of Trade Processing Platform for Global Debt Markets (GDM) - A successful candidate must have strong knowledge and skills in development of Java server side applications in order to support various requirements coming from our business partners - Consulting closely with business stakeholders to understand their objectives and requirements, developing user stories in association with product owners and with Technical lead - Coordinate with global project managers for the deliver agenda. Contribute and represent in product control group meetings, preparing the product backlogs for work prioritization - Demonstrate accountability with end-to-end ownership of deliverables for global business. - Hands-on participation in project lifecycle from reviewing requirements through release and post-launch support. Perform a mix of hands-on design and development and face off to several user groups. - Define processes and tools best suited for the project. Should have the ability to work in a Dev Ops & Agile fashion. - Control - Understand, follow and demonstrate compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which you are involved, specifically Internal Controls and any Compliance policy including, inter alia, the Group Compliance policy. - Maintain - HSBC Internal Control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators. - Be aware of the Operational Risk scenario associated with your role and act in a manner that takes account of operational risk considerations. - Conducting research – both in technology but also business process and strategy – to ensure knowledge of best practice needed to support delivery for business stakeholders To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements: Dev Management - 12+ years of IT experience in successfully delivering complex technology solutions within a defined Software/Systems development lifecycle in Investment Banking domain. - Experience in SDLC & Agile project lifecycles to gather functional and technical requirements, project timelines driving the design and development of the project. - Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, presentation and analytical skills. - Strong relationship management skills with proven history in dealing with stakeholders and globally distributed project teams - Willingness to engage with business users and key IT stakeholders outside of direct area of responsibility and manage expectations. - Drive platform improvement initiatives like improvement of performance, production stability - Self-motivated, enthusiastic and proven rapid learning capability - Experience working in fast-paced, collaborative environment Requirements - Excellent grasp on Core Java SE 8+ - Strong experience with design and development of FO applications using Integration / Streaming / Reactive Frameworks (e.g. SpringBoot, Apache Camel, Apache STORM etc.) - Experience architecting solutions for various deployment profiles (On Premise / On Cloud). - Exposure to SOAP / RESTful APIs - Exposure to message serialization and data interchange using XMLs, Protobufs, JSON etc. - Strong Exposure on NOSQL DBs (e.g. MongoDB) - DevOps & Tooling expertise with exposure to Continuous Integration and Automated Deployments using tools such as Git, ANT, MAVEN, Gradle, Jenkins, Sonar, Ansible etc. - Exposure to GUI Development using HTML5, JavaScript / Node, ReactJS, Angular etc. - Exposure to Message/Event driven architectures working with IBM MQ, ActiveMQ, SOLACE etc. - Experience to third party trade capture systems (like Calypso, Summit, Bloomberg etc) will be an added advantage.  Domain - Exposure in investment banking working on Front Office applications specifically for Global Debt Markets would be preferred - Exposure and understanding of electronic markets, trading terminologies, pricing models, reference data would be preferred - In-depth knowledge of Trade Life cycle, Trade processing and enrichment You’ll achieve more when you join HSBC. www.hsbc.com/careers   HSBC is committed to building a culture where all employees are valued, respected and opinions count.
