Job Description Infosys is seeking a Java Spark Developer. This position will interface with key stakeholders and apply technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design; play an important role in creating the high level design artifacts; deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty. Required Qualifications: Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Mississauga, Ontario or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel. Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education. At least 4 years of Information Technology experience. Canadian citizens and those authorized to work in the Canada are encouraged to apply. We are unable to sponsor at this time. Preferred Qualification : • At least 4 years of IT industry experience. • At least 4 years of development experience in Java with 3 years in Spark • Experience in Spring framework. • Knowledge in Bigdata – Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Scoop. • Extensive knowledge in Spark Framework, Data Ingestion, RDD/Data Set /Data Frame/UDF, Yarn and resource prioritization • End to end use case of Data ingestion from source to the transformation, in memory processing, loading into big data store • Multiple ways of processing large volume of data • Concepts of Hive, Scoop and Zookeeper • Scoop the data from the big data store for loading to the other data stored like RDBMS or file storage • Performance tuning of spark framework • Managed tables and Hive external tables • Exposure to Jenkins, InteliJ, Git • Thorough knowledge and understanding of Oracle DB. • Have experience in using/setting up DevOps, CI/CD pipeline • Strong communication skills and capability to deal with business & global counterparts independently • Experience with leading a team for 2 years • Good analytical skills and data analysis capabilities. • Attitude to learn new technologies and working on new projects. • Highly Sensitive to Information Security and Data Privacy laws. • Handle multiple project deliverables • Ability to collaborate with Architects on development and design. • Excellent client facing and communication skills. • Experience with Agile application development concepts including build automation, pair programming, testing automation and code management (branching and forking etc.) • Ability to effectively interpret technical and business objectives and challenges, and articulate solutions. • Demonstrated willingness to learn new technologies and takes pride in how fast they develop working software. • Use tools and methodologies to create representations for functions and user interface of desired product. • Ensure software meets all requirements of quality, Non-functional requirements (NFRs). • Experience in Financial Services domain will be an added advantage. • Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment.
