The GTRF Americas Commodity Trade Finance Sales Head will lead the Commodity Trade Finance business development activity across all business segments in the Americas region, managing a diverse team of specialist CTF Business Development Managers (BDMs). Aligned globally, the role holder will engage with the broader BDMs to develop leads and co-ordinate with the Global Businesses to drive growth from this sector. Here’s what you can expect: As the GTRF Americas Commodity Trade Finance Sales Head, you will lead global revenue growth with both existing and new clients in the commodity sector through proactive client engagement, provision of value-added solutions and financing structures, effective sales performance and pipeline management. You will manage new business relationships and strengthen existing ones, maximizing revenue growth through business development sales and collaborating with internal stakeholders to maximize cross-selling opportunities for the bank. As Sales Head, it will be your responsibility to lead, inspire and motivate BDMs and to provide active feedback to seniors on process, operations, risks etc, making recommendations as to how these can be changed to secure the customer and the bank. For this role, HSBC targets a fixed pay range between $192,200 and $336,300. The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. as HSBC will not engage in immigration sponsorship for this position. - Extensive experience in providing trade finance solutions to commodity sector clients in oil & gas, metals and mining, soft commodity and energy and renewables and in-depth knowledge of the functioning of commodity clients, risk management principles and financing techniques. - Deep understanding and ability to structure customer solutions covering the breadth of GTRF product offerings. In particular, the ideal candidate must demonstrate excellent understanding of specialized commodity finance structures like Asset backed Lending, Pre-export and Prepayment Financing, Warehouse Financing, Tolling Finance and other structured GTRF solutions like Receivables Finance and Supply Chain finance. - Good understanding of credit risk analytical and evaluation techniques and of legal aspects related documentation, security interests, perfection, recourse etc. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build meaningful relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
