We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Delivery Head. Global Business/Global Function – Value Stream: Fraud & CCS Technology Fraud & Credit Control Services (CCS) is a first line of defence control function in Wealth & Private Banking (WPB), with the core purpose of supporting the entire customer credit journey and creating sustainable outcomes for the Customer and the Bank. Fraud & Credit Decision Systems under WPB Credit Control Services are mainly responsible for the delivery and support of the Credit & Fraud risk management applications, tools, systems and data across HSBC globally. We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Capability Head – Cloud Engineering The Capability Head is responsible for leading the technical direction of the Fraud Value Streams Engineering practice focused on Google Cloud Platform. This includes overseeing the design and development of software and applications, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality, scalability, and security. The Capability head will be responsible for collaborating with key stakeholders, including product owners, architects, and other engineering leaders to ensure that the technology strategy aligns with the business goals of the value stream. Reporting to the Global Head – Platforms & Capabilities, the role will work to ensure world class technology solutions that enable business success by leading strategy and delivery of Engineering. In this role you will :  - Be responsible for owning & leading the Technology engineering focused on efficiency & quality, across the underlying platforms servicing multiple business outcomes lines (referred to as Sub-Value Streams – SVS) - Lead a team of platform engineers responsible for the design and development of software and applications across the Fraud & Credit Decisioning ecosystem. - Be defining and implementing best practices for software development, including coding standards, code reviews, and testing methodologies. Ensure that all software and applications meet the highest standards of quality, scalability, and security. - Be accountable for engineering roadmap and sustenance working closely with product vendors - where applicable as well as for in-house built applications. - Be defining and aligning the set of Platforms’ engineering outcomes/deliveries to tech roadmap and vision focused on optimization, quality and efficiency. - Be collaborating with key stakeholders to define the technology strategy that aligns with the business goals of the bank. Responsible for ensuring solutions are aligned with the platform architecture and roadmap, group standards and policies and the overall enterprise architecture for their function. - Be co-owning the DevOps practices to roll-out standards & governance for engineering work/tooling and automation delivered by assigned platform resource pool - Be defining and creating technical standards and norms to drive consistency methodologies to improve quality and reusability. Ensure that the technology team is up to date with the latest technologies and tools and implement them where appropriate. To be successful in this role, you should have:   - Extensive Technology leadership experience working within a major technology orientated organization with experience of being successful in a matrix organization with multiple stakeholders. Experience in GCCs / Captive preferred - Proven experience of building and deploying complex IT solutions on the Cloud (specifically Google Cloud Platform), including extensive knowledge of GCP tooling and CI/CD Pipelines. Experience in integration business/layers, workflow and orchestration solutions and design patterns - Experience running large multi-project and multi-stakeholder programmes in an international financial institution. Proven track record for successfully completing IT delivery and change programmes in multiple locations with a distributed team - In-depth experience of migration or creating grounds-up data and analytics capabilities on the cloud – including aspects of pipeline engineering, transformation and large-scale consumption. - Experience managing multiple teams in the design, development, deployment or maintenance of large-scale cloud-based applications. Expert understanding of DevOps principles and Infrastructure as a Code concepts and techniques. Security and Compliance, e.g. IAM and cloud compliance/auditing/monitoring tools - Strong understanding of Cloud costs and associated aspects of FinOps from a predictability and optimization perspective. - Extensive and proven track record of managing and influencing complex stakeholders within IT and the business, and building lasting relationships. Leadership experience, including managing a team of IT resources globally. - Customer/stakeholder focus. Ability to build strong relationships with Application teams, cross functional IT and global/local IT teams. Managing vendor and product relationships. Experience in Agile Ways of Working and the adoption of best practices.
