Data Administrator Job Description We are looking to hire a skilled Data administrator who has central responsibility of maintaining and organizing data in a variety of forms. They commonly work with large databases that contain information about people, places, things, events, etc. Their job is to ensure that this data is organized in a way that makes it easy to find and use. The job role might also require you to processing data into a convenient data model. The person is in charge of figuring out which data is relevant to be stored in the database, you should have database knowledge and as well as programming skills. You will help Data Architecture to build efficient and stable data pipelines, which can be easily maintained in the future. Data Administrator Responsibilities: - Filters out relevant data - Monitor the data flow throughout the organization - Analyze and break down the data to be understood by the non-tech person - Creating new data model or updating existing data model to meet new business needs - Reviewing data integrity to ensure that entries are accurate and consistent with business rules - Gather requirements and business process knowledge in order to transform the data in a way that has geared towards the needs of end users. - Work with the Data Architecture in designing and delivering correct, high quality data - Conducting preliminary testing of the warehousing environment before data is extracted. - Testing the new storage system once all the data has been transferred. - Prepare documentation for further reference. Data Administrator Requirements:- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. - Experienced capability of data retrieving, necessary and not limited in SQL/NON-SQL as well as an understanding of both structural/non-structural data management system. 3 years above of advanced SQL programing experience is mandatory and basic Oracle DBMS knowledge are required. - Capability to define user acceptance test cases and scenario of data validation. - Capability to define the measurement of data correctness and performance index of data delivery process. - You should have excellent business and communication skills, and be able to work with data owners to understand their data requirements and help them make data-related decisions using your knowledge and experience. Experienced business or system analysis knowledge in insurance and finance service industry are preferred. - Data administrators can earn certifications to gain more theoretical and practical knowledge of their responsibilities and further their career advancement opportunities. - Knowledge of data modeling principles, hands on experience of data modeling tools are preferred. - Ability to pick up new data tools and concepts quickly. - Organizational skills: time management and planning. - Passionate about complex data structures and problem solving. - High attention to detail.
