The CBC team is a high performing organization that is continually expanding our client base and increasingly being recommended by analysts such as Forrester and Gartner.  Cognizant Banking & Financial Services (BFS) We help financial services firms improve their performance by supporting major transformation initiatives combining business, operation and technology solutions that drive differentiation, efficiency, effectiveness, innovation and virtualization.  When you choose Cognizant, you benefit from deep industry expertise to help manage risk, comply with regulations, enhance products and services and deliver on your business transformation challenges.  Our BFS clients include six of the top 10 U.S. banks and four of the top 10 European banks.  We offer our clients the full spectrum of transformation consulting services including strategy, business and domain consulting, industry best practices and transformation planning including process engineering, target operating models, technology platform rationalization, application development, maintenance, business process services, outsourcing as well as our global delivery expertise, from front office to back office Cognizant BFS group specializes in supporting the following banking and financial services industry segments investment banking, broker dealers, asset management, investment management, asset servicing, private banking, wealth management, retail banking, institutional banking, and cards and payments. -------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------- Location: Greater Toronto Area Qualifications - 6 to 8 years business analysis experience, supporting medium to large size projects. - 3 or more years of proven consulting experience gathering and analyzing business requirements, mapping processes, conducting hypotheses-based analysis, creating business cases, evaluating, and presenting solutions and drafting functional designs to deliver large-scale enterprise software implementation(s) in Capital Markets. - MBA, MS in finance, CFA, or relevant Post-Graduate/University degree University from reputed institution - Proven experience and subject matter expertise in business/systems analysis in any 1 of the following functions – Market Risk, Trading Credit Risk, BCAR reporting, Finance / P&L attribution, FRTB - Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment, and manage multiple task assignments - Ability to work as part of a cross-cultural team including flexibility to support multiple time zones when necessary - Ability to develop client relationships and comfortably interact with senior level clients - Strong work ethic with a commitment to client service excellence - Strong project management, presentation, and facilitation skills Strong knowledge of: - Software design principles and development best practices in the full life cycle Standard business analysis tools, diagrams, and methodology - Superior troubleshooting, problem-solving and communication skills, and detail-oriented work ethic - Sound knowledge and understanding of data structures, XML and Relational databases. Ability to write basic SQL queries required to analyse large volumes of data. Consulting Skills Required  Consulting experience in the following areas: - Techno-functional skills in business requirements and data analysis - Medium to large project experience interacting with client teams, consultants, and vendors. - Excellent verbal, written and inter-personal communication skills. Role and Responsibilities You will play an important role with responsibilities that range from analysing a client's issues/objectives and interviewing key client stakeholders to developing recommendations and authoring presentations.  You will participate and lead teams in both strategic advisory and transformation projects.  Responsibilities include: - Work directly with our clients providing consulting services designed to help them solve their most complex business and technology issues - Deliver outstanding client results, direct client personnel, prepare work plans, facilitate client teams to implement recommendations - Draw conclusions from the market /industry trends, client issues and support go to market initiatives for Cognizant - Contribute to research, design and writing of articles/whitepapers and participate as a team member in collateral development - Support business development activities in the form of gathering best practices for RFI/RFP responses and writing proposals - Proactively support team building and on boarding efforts via mentoring At Cognizant, we are continually looking to add star-quality talent to our Team.  Please see our website at www.cognizant.com for project credentials and additional information.
