Job Description Core Product Analyst POSITION SUMMARY: The Product Analyst role is part of the Product and UX team within Nymbus. The Product Analyst role partners with various business teams to analyze, improve, and document user stories in the backlog. The product analyst works closely with the Product Owners to define, prioritize, and document enhancements. This individual will be responsible for providing analytical support for the Product Owners functional areas, working with the design, product and engineering teams to provide detailed user stories and acceptance criteria. Successful candidate will be a technically savvy go-to person, able to communicate well with all levels within the organization, and articulate the business needs, translating those needs into user stories. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES - Work closely with the Product Owner to understand, contribute to, and implement the overall product vision - Assists Product Owner with building and managing product backlogs by defining user stories and writing acceptance criteria in support of the product vision - Collaborate with SMEs, prospective users and clients to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into product requirements - Assists Product Owner with backlog grooming and prioritization of product backlog items - Collaborate with technical team members to assist in story pointing, identifying dependencies, and analyzing/designing product solutions - Ability to think critically and understand feature decomposition - Ability to understand and articulate technical details - Effectively communicate complex concepts to all levels of the organization and the project team - Contributes to daily scrum meeting to discuss any items in progress or any blockers to development items - Active participant in the sprint planning ceremonies to make sure items planned for sprint are in a ready state - Aligns with the Product team to be an advocate of the users’ & functional partners’ needs - Assists Product Owner with competitive analysis and go-to-market launch strategies - Assists in user acceptance testing to ensure acceptance criteria has been met - Experience in enterprise-wide requirements definition for management systems and methodologies - Proactively establish and manage both long and short term priorities while driving toward an MVP and adhering to the product roadmap - Seamless collaboration with Engineering and Design teams to recommend solutions for process improvements within existing environments. - Development of requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language QUALIFICATIONS:- Deep knowledge of the banking industry is required including digital experience with banking, payments, and/or cash management products - Experience with handling large volumes of data, strong analytical skills, and attention to detail - Highly passionate and positive in a rapidly changing and fast paced environment - Experience with solving problems through technology and ability to make decisions - Strong communication skills and outstanding active listening abilities - Experience using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Figma, Lucid, SQL, Postman - Familiar with XML, JSON, Swagger, Postman - A background in Banking and Financial services is an advantage - Strong communication skills in English (spoken and written) - Experience with working in agile environments, Agile or Scrum certifications recommended - Readiness to work under pressure and be delivery focused and pragmatic - Bachelor’s degree in Business, MIS, Comp Sci or equivalent experience - Minimum of 5+ years experience in similar roles
